  • Yes, an animal could crawl along the sea bed. A crab, for example. Crawling is slow so we can even say "Our car is crawling along" if we are in bad traffic. That would be using the word figuratively because in reality cars and most vehicles don't crawl. Even a submarine could crawl along figuratively. But this text says "literally"! Maybe this submersible has legs, but I don't think so :)
