Anele, what video do you mean? As for the veterans, you're right that they did a great deal for our country. The victory was achieved through their endless heroism. Eternal glory to the victors!
Thanks a lot for commenting my photo. I'm very grateful to EC for featuring it. I think veterans of the Great Patriotic War really deserve it, as there're fewer and fewer of them each year. I've already explained Martin why I didn't interview this veteran and I won't be able to do it in the future as I don't know him. But I'll try to post a blog about other veterans as soon as I have free time....
Hi Martin! I'm very glad to see you commenting my photo. I agree with you that these people ( I mean veterans) did impossible during the war to defeat fascism. I respect them a lot. Sometimes I think that I couldn't do the same. As for talking to this veteran, it wasn't the right time and place to do it. We were standing near the war memorial, there were a lot of people there, loud music, veterans were singing war songs and I tried to do it, too. I simply adore war songs...they're so melodiuos, touching. So, I asked him to take a photo with me and congratulated him on Victory day. You know each year there're fewer and fewer veterans. But I know a lot of different stories about real people (including my relatives) connected with the Great Patriotic War. I read a lot of books about this war, interviewed different peopl while I was a student myself, now I teach my students not to forget about those who died for the victory. In the past a lot of veterans came to our school and told the students about their war experience. But now they practically can't do it. Ok, I'll try to post a blog but only after the end of the school year ( in three or four weeks)....I'm very busy now...preparations for the exams, different performances, final lessons and so on...
