  • Hi Rosenmaiden,
What a coincidence! I have just posted a crane story in the Shiritori section of Anime Group. Like you, photography was my hobby before. I used to develop and print B&W pictures too. But I only use my compact camera now. I want to buy a nice SLR digital camera someday but don't know when I should, because the spec of digital cameras keeps upgrading yet they are expensive.

Everybody in Japan knows and loves "The Fox and The Crane" story. It's funny and instructive. Thank you very much for the nice comment!
  • Hello, Yoh!
You are luky phototographer! And, I think, you have a good camera! I have been going in for photography since I was 12 years old, so I know a little about it. I used to develop films and print photos by myself.
The crane is main character of Russian tale "The Fox and The Crane". Here illustation, look:

  • Thank you Karenina. Yes, lucky me. It’s unbelievable that I can engage with cranes like this close. Cranes raise their chicks just like geese do. Here, the mother is trying to interrupt her two kids fighting.

  • Here too, cranes, geese, and other migrating birds leave for the south before winter. We can be happy every spring, when they come back though.
  • In my country, the cranes leave for the South every autumn. Every time it's an incomparable and sad spectacle!
  • may be they thought that you were a ball ... hehehe ...

Actually they would have kicked my ass, if I had gotten a little closer.
