A white Pine tree. Michigan's State Tree.The white pine was logged in the later 1800's this one is about 75 feet high.it is one of my favorites.It has a majesty about it.The wind flows through the upper branches making a sound that makes you feel you can go anywhere. And so I will.

A very good question.I had to do a internet search.the white pine in my area stands taller and majestic looking then most other trees.The needles are longer than the others ,that are in my area. But for me it is the fact they have been a part of my life.I have climbed them as a youth ,and still do.This picture is about 70 feet from the ground.Once I was enjoying the view at the top of a white pine the upper branches are softer and broke I fell to the branch I used to begin my climb .that day I had angels keeping watch over me.but I love a good view and want to share the beauty I see.
