Nguyen Trung Truc is a local hero of people in Kien Giang, and also of all people in Viet Nam. He burnt the French ship on Nhat Tao river and beheaded at Rach Gia market. Every year, On August 26,27,28 lunar year people in Kien Giang and other provinces gather on his temple to remember this hero.
Many activities take place on those days such as displaying pictures, fair, chess compition....
Everyone coming to this festival will be servered vegetarian food by volunteers, and trafic always stuck on three these days.
Local people prepare for this activity some months before. They gather rice, soya bean, wood.....from sponsors.
