Impressionist sometimes painted the same scene several times - at different times of the year or time of day. I'm not an impressionist, but sometimes I like to take photos of the same place - because the impression of the photos can be quite different.

  • Hello, Hardi!

You're a real explorer! Yes, it is cobblestone! Germans still grind the stones, in my area a lot of the roads of rubble. Often these roads need repair, road workers sometimes cover them with asphalt, sometimes restored, sometimes eliminated.

Similarly, builders do with the old German buildings - in the grounds of the larger stones - they use them (sometimes) in the other buildings.

Thank you for your attention to my photos. I'm glad that it's interesting to you.

  • They have really build some walls from natural (coble)stones.. !? (I suppose cobblestone might be wrong word there, but don't know how it's called in English.)

Do they had too much money, or free time to build such castle?

.....The other (Russian)church in other photo seems like they making it from concrete.
