Called hammer wrenches because they are hit with a very large hammer to make the nut come loose. These would be use on a large pressure vessel or maybe pipeline. Also sometimes on oil wells.

Good idea! To teach the names of tools. Everyone who have had to repair or build something, knows how important and valuable good tools are. But I think most people don't know the names of some of the tools.. Including my self.

I'm not mechanic, nor blacksmith, but sometime I need to fix or, build something also.

I will have open end, box end, spud wrench, pipe wrench and everything else I can find posted in the new group. I like blacksmith tools and like to heat metal and beat on an anvil. I do some crazy things for amusement sometimes. I also make flintlocks as copies of much older ones.
There are so many different tools used by mankind and it is hard to discuss some of them between different languages. I am making a lot of photos of items used in manufacturing and refineries and will attach the most common English names. Only it is hard with 7 photo limit per day. These are going to be the start of my new group for teaching names of tools and i can also learn names form other languages.
