This Wednesday, I and my "partner", a motorbike, had a small trip. We went to a neighboring county about 25 kilometers from my city. The scene along the mountain road we passed through to our destination was full of beautiful trees. Some heavy motorbike lovers and cycling lovers fancy riding their partners there on weekends or holidays. It's always amusing to meet something unexpected during the trip. And, this evening's sunset was also one of them we came across, making our trip a nice memory on first day of 2014. :)

Here it's not as cold as you thought. :) It's about 200~400 meters height. I'm not sure what the white covering is, but can make sure it's not snow. Maybe it's like what Little Tree said, or something like canvas to protect the soil conservation.
