These flowers are crocuses. Theirs names sound in Russian exactly as – “crocus”. There are white, yellow, blue crocuses in my region. They are ones first spring flowers, like snowdrops, coltsfoots or others. We can see these flowers in gardens only, but not in a forest.Ancient Greeks considered that crocus is flower of daybreak and waking nature. Some people call crocuses as saffron. Do you know, what is saffron? The saffron is a spice – tree aromatic bright orange stigmas and pistil of crocus.
