Canada Day Cake

Canada's birthday is on July 1st! One Canada Day tradition at my house is to bake a Canada Day cake and share it with the neighbourhood kids. My kids race around to find the best maple leaf for the stencil. Making "red" icing is always the most difficult part. My icing always turns out pink. This year I added red sprinkles to the pink icing to make it look a bit more red. Happy 148th birthday, Canada!
