Yes, that would be the easiest way to get this underway - if we get enough interest in the concept then we should see people creating sub-groups and setting regularly scheduled meetings - then, interested people can just drop in - we can use the 4 rooms to provide more flexibility.

My name is Michelle. I just join in EC couples day ago. I have found out that your virtual class is very awesome to learn English. Can you give me a favor? It seems I have a problem with join in the virtual class since when I logined in the room 1, nobody was there. I wonder whether or not I need to register or do something else prior to join in the room.

It looks like a lot of the members who have joined Classrooms are going to be disappointed. Why? Because based on the messages I have been receiving, there is an expectation on those who joined my group that I am going to be providing organized classes. Over time this may indeed happen but that was not my intention. Please let me explain.
I created the Classroom Without Borders group and the www.e-classrooms.org site as a way to showcase what can be done with VOIP conferencing technology to create a virtual room where teachers and students could meet up to practice speaking English using this live audio-video communication tool.
When I created this site and group I expected that teachers would provide the organization and create classes and schedules and that students would step up to create sub-groups and start using the technology on their own.
The above has not happened – instead members are accessing the virtual room expecting to find someone there and are disappointed to find the room empty. The best solution for everyone is to learn how to use it and start inviting members to join you on a specific day and time.
Finding a partner: The quickest way to connect instantly with other members is to use the EC chat. By connecting with EC members in the EC chat area you can then ask if anyone would like to join you for live audio-video discussion in Room 1 of the Virtual Classroom. Once you have confirmed that someone wants to join you in the Virtual Classroom then log out of ning and login to www.e-classrooms.org and click on Room1.
TRAINING
Directions on how to use the room can be obtained in two ways: the first is to access the room between 9am-9:30am New York time, I will try to be there each day to receive guests and provide demonstration on using the system. The second way is to contact me with a request for a personal demonstration and we can pre-arrange a day and time to meetup.
