We had an interesting discussion at the University today...The topic of our lesson was "Crime and Punishment".The teacher asked us a question " What do you think of a death penalty?"...and there it all began...a great fight....such a variety of views...so many passion during this discussion, I could never have thought it would arise so much emotions in every body...by the end of the lesson it was clear that our class separated into 2 groups : "for" and "against"...the argument was very hectic..lots of opinions lots of remarks and proofs...And I'm curious to know what do you think about a death penalty, is it abolished in your country or is it still practised???

The River I Bathed inIt has been raining almost for a week here in Ukraine and only today I suddenly realized that summer is over and I miss it so much, the time flew too quickly for me... bathing and playing in the warm water, splashing it over yourself when the heat is intolerable and feeling the wind blowing and sending little shivers down your body, lying in the sun, walking barefooted on the grass catching the morning due, listening to birds singing...Why I realized it only now? I was looking at some pictures I took in summer of my place in the countryside (I spent my summer there) and the rain patting on the windows made me ponder over it.The most interesting thing is when you see your place every day it seems trite to you, you don't notice the beauty surrounding you but when you take a picture of it... it's like you open your eyes and see a wonderful scenery and you can't help looking at it.

Why do we like to have attention paid to us? Is it a need or just a whim? Maybe a desire to be noticed and appreciated?Everybody likes to get attention, even trying to deny it you can't hide the smile from your face when a handsome man pays a compliment to you or your boss says you are one of the best employees. A huge wave of pleasant emotions surge up in you the moment you hear some nice words or just feel the appreciation of others (though some of us may blush and feel embarrassed but...what a joy for your self-esteem!). You feel yourself worthy and start striving for self-perfection to get more attention. And...what a frustration when you did some great job or when you change your hair-style or buy some stunning dress to attract men's attention and nobody notices it!So, is it a need to make you feel confident and stimulate you? Can you achieve everything and feel completely happy without being paid any attention to? Is it some kind of a drug that brings lots of emotions and adrenalin to you and every time you want more and more or ...just another our whim...?
