My bike

I like to cycle very much. When I was child I cycled each day of my school holidays. When I became older all my friends moved to scooters, but I didn't. Scooter was good and I like it too, but bike is something different. You start to cycle at 3-5 years. Your bike has small additional wheels. You learn to poise on 2 wheels. You change 3-4 bikes during next 10 years... It's whole life when you are child.

I didn't cycle around 15 years. Last grades of school, university, job, my own family... But 4 years ago I bought my bike and friend of mine and I cycled whole spring and summer in Georgian mountains. It was great time. My personal record is 116 km per day. Difference between altitudes at that day was 1100 meters, from 450 meters above sea level till 1550 meters above sea level. Yes, I was died at the end of the day (and week after), but it was great day!

Now I have problems with free time again. But sometimes I cycle with my kids in park. When they become older, we will ride in mountains. It's real pleasure when you cycle in mountains, it's hot, you are tired and you see some mountain river with icy water. You enter into this river and feel yourself like you born again - no problems, no heat, no tiredness...

I used to put "will" after "if" or "when". It's Conditionals, babe! :)

E.g. "If we will go there it will be good". But it should be "if we go there, it will be good". Or "when we will open the door, there will be a lot of people", but it should be "when we open the door, there will be a lot of people".

I spent 2 or 3 weeks with my teacher to change my mind. She gave me a lot of practice about conditionals. Now in 95% of cases I use conditionals correct way and in rest 5% I see my mistake after saying it. And I hear 100% of mistakes which were done by others.

In my understanding one of the meanings of word "pretty" can be something like "pretty trinkets". If I'm right, than subject of this challenge will be one of my favorite knifes.

This is RAT 1 AUS-8 - useful and helpful tool. I have some kind of small collection of knifes, around 13-15 peaces. I use them outdoor, in car, at job to cut some food (like smoked sausage or khachapuri) or to open some boxes.

I like this knife because of size, form of handle and edge. All my knifes were bought on Amazon. It's much easier to choose knife in internet and much cheaper to buy it online, because here in Georgia we don't have enough choice (and demand as well).

I sharpen my knifes by myself. But it takes time. Around 40 minutes for each. That's why not all of my knifes are sharpened enough :) I have special stone for sharpening. It has different granulosity on different sides - large on one side to shape rude defects and small on another side to shape edge more accurately.

Actually sharpening helps to rest very well. It's some kind of meditation - you make same simple movements long time. You have time to think, to switch to something else. I like it!

Writing Challenge: My Bookprint

These are what I remember now. Of course I remember more red books, but let me start from this list... All these books was red in Russian.

The Doomed City by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky - I red it in difficult period of my life. And probably this books works more effectively exactly at the difficult moments. Book is fantastic! It's about everything. And this book is positive. Actually I really love brothers Strugatsky. I red many their books and I like almost everything.

The same I can say about Haruki Murakami. I red all his novels and I love all of them. I didn't read stories, because I don't like stories at all, they are too short. This guy is very optimistic and positive. All his books are about main values - family, love, friendship. And he always has happy end. So last red (and written actually) novel was 1Q84. About love.

Shogun by James Clavell - Long and very interesting book! About English helmsman from Dutch ship who traveled to Japain at 1600 or something like that. Samurais, love, duty, honour... This book left something positive and good in my heart.

Criptonomicon by Neal Stephenson - about guy from our days and his grandfather at time of WWII. About cryptography, gold, love, friendship, computer technologies, adventures... Very interesting book.

Little Brother by Cory Doctorow - modern (2007) cyberpunk about teenagers in San Francisco who fight against Big Brother. Again positive book for me. Actually I like novels about strong people :)

I'm new guy on this site, I registered just today and I don't have friends yet, so I will skip my bio for the moment :)
