The Joy of Teaching English

It gives me great joy to teach English and I enjoy every moment of it. It does not matter whether I'm teaching in a group or to an individual. I always make my lesson interesting to my students and I encourage them to ask questions. I hope they enjoy my lesson as much as I enjoy teaching them.

I know not everyone learns at the same speed or pace and this can cause problems in a big group. So it is better, to divide your class into different levels. I encourage my students to speak in English when my class commences so that they can improve in their pronunciation and to interact with one another confidently in English. Listening is a skill acquired and I recommend them to listen intently to the conversation which are played on the CD during the class lesson before they attempt the questions on their papers.

I encourage my students to read widely and to make reading a hobby. This will help them in writing their essays as they get ideas from the books which they've read. Listening to their favourite English singers have greatly helped them in their English as they enjoyed singing along with their singers.

Moreover, I want them to participate in English forums, English debates and English quizzes to build their confident in English.

To all my students, I love you all. I hope you'll excel in English!!!

Japan as one of the world leading country in technology suffered greatly. The Japan's prime minster commented that this is the worst and most difficult situation that Japan had ever experienced since World War II (atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki).

Let's pray that God be merciful to Japan and heal her land and people. Japan will recover from this natural disaster and stand on her feet again!!

Attitude

What is attitude? Is it something we are born with or shaped by our environment and circumstances? Or is it an inward feeling expressed by our behaviour??Think about it.Do we usually find ourselves drawn to people with attractive features but put off by their bad attitude. We are master in disguising our attitude and others are fooled by it. But it will not last long because there is that constant struggle as the attitude tries to surface itself in the open.Let us adopt a positive attitude which is conducive for our personal growth causing our mind to expand and to seize opportunity which arises from it.With a positive attitude, we can build relationship with others in our crowded world and life will be much pleasant than being a sour pout!!
