Life

I myself like to translate this poem :

  • That's great...actually u just reminded me of my last lecture. It was somehow the same...we've got such close concepts. U know, exactly at the night I gave my lecture, I just dreamed I was swimming in an ocean...believe me!!!!!!!!!!!

At the time we're talking over idioms and as u posted that pic for the equivalent of that sentence, then I wanna come up with an idea which could be somehow useful for us (I'm referring to Persian guys):

I suggest to add a discussion in here, posting our new learnt idioms within Persian equivalents to share so that they could be used in our translation. Esp. for the field of Persian into Eng coz it really requirs such a good knowledge for that.

After all, my manner in learning language (whether vocab or idiom) is "Faale dictionary"...I don' know if u've ever heard about it but it means reading the book in the way u read the "Haafez"...There is a specific way for each student and that's mine. Actually, I hardly trust on sth and I find that manner as the most reliabel; even I can not rely on teachers and books!!!!!!!!!! (esp. Persian books, coz once I lost my face in front of a native speaker in the wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwworst way possible, I just tend not to remember that) so if u're gonna share sth plz be careful of the truth!!!!!!!!

    Thanx...

  • U know the point?! As u urself know, we have to go for the equivalents in the languages...I can say, that's why I've been working on idioms more... Going through the time, u'll finally find urself in a situation that vocab knowledge wouldn't matter as much as idioms! and now, this the damn stalemate!

    • yes! for sure that's true idea.

me too, I should set this goal.

you know for me whose English is a foreign language not second one, it became like swimming in an ocean; a wonderful world that you discover new things time by time, you need to be supported by a master and equipped by necessary tools , if not it would take energy n each moment past , feel tired and even forgot swimming and like to give it up!

  • Wow!

    That's just damn difficult!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, I saw a man on TV who was from Spain...Oh gosh!

He was rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreally fluent in Persian...and guess what!?...He'd been awarded coz of translating Golestaan in Spanish...

    I just worship him!

    • very nice! lucky him.

I stopped in my language! :(

now tell me what does یک برادر دارم واسه من دیوارش از همه کوتاهتر است mean?!
