Most students and teachers agree pronunciation teaching should be appropriately dealt with in class, but teachers fail to teach it. What is your perspective on this issue, either from the teachers´side or the student´s ?

Yes . I think that pronounciation should be taught in every lesson so that the students become correct speakers .There are also separate pronounciation lessons like games , puzzles , texts where you can improve your pronounciation.
I think teachers just can give hints for students to go ahead in their pronunciation. The heavy work has to be made by own student. After all, it's for their benefit all student try to study another language. All student should be the main responsible for their own sucess when it comes pronunciation or whatever it is in language learning stuff.
Writing has also a lot to do with pronunciation teaching. Letters combine to produce a graphic representation of sound. remember that´s the key of graphophonics. And no one can really master a language. Not even those so called native speakers
