Why do they have the label on milk cartons saying 'Open here'? Why do you have to open there? Why can't you open it on say the other side?Should the guy on the commercial eat his soup with a fork or a spoon?Why do they put 'Do not refill' labels on bottled water?Just what flavour is 'Original'?

Your questions lead me back to the days I studied philosophy. My opinions are:
1) The milk company is trying to make adults' lives easier. I guess we don't need to open it according to the label. But for many people, life is filled with so many other questions that they don't want to spend any time to think of different ways to open the milk cartons. Instructions make life easier (and duller).
2) The guy on the commercial can drink the soup without a spoon or fork, just like what the Japanese people do.
