  • This is very interesting! It's very important to use what we have available in our school and bring new ideas to the class too, sts love it! We really have to consider the avarage, the number of sts, what they like and dislike... congratulations!
When you have new ideas, share with us.

    Regards,

    Joyce.

First of all, let me describe my average classroom population. Most of them are teenagers who like rap and pop, have mp3s or mp4s, have a DVD player but watch spanish dubbed movies, have a cellphone but don't have frequent call credit (still expensive in Peru), a few have cellphones with cameras, love youtube and hi5, use google translator, and hate reading.

Our lab needs updating, but I've invited my students join to Englihsclub and chat. At the beginning they froze since didn't know what to say, but they asked, and were very concerned about spelling and grammar. It was great!

We try to play songs with lyrics, show movie trailers, and create powerpoints for some hard grammar structures we teach.
