Why english speakers use this?

I heard some sentences with this form from English speakers: "what I do know is that..." or  " We do share the same..." The question is: What is the applicant of do in these sentences? Why they use it before main verb? I'll wait for your answers friends...

  • Similarly, for past tense, we use "did" for example, we did go to the party. I learnt it a long ago, but rarely used it in our sentences. Your discussion is a good reminder.
    Thank!

    • My dear it means that "I really (or definitely) like football"

Some examples:  'Please do sit down"  (It is a request to BE SEATED).

'I did reply him." (deninitely replied).

Hope I may be helpful for the readers.
