After I saw your topic, I suddenly remember a song which is sung by Kate Winslet. The song name is "What if". Actually, it not totally describes my current situation, but I would like to mention some part of lyrics of that song. (You have to listen to the full song if you want to understand the meaning of the song)
What if I had never let you go? Would you be the man I used to know? What if I had never walked away? 'Cos I still love you more than I can say?
This is the most touching part of that song for me and it makes me remember someone who I used to know.
