I feel it is same like to be motivated with Socialism (Integrative motivation) and Capitalism (Instrumental motivation)...
You want to learn a language because you want to use it for communication. In case you seek for business purpose then it is another story.
Both are separate way of motivation. Anyone can be beneficial for you as per your ambition.

It's a nice topic and really makes me interesting to know more about this. I can speak on this but before this I need to know more about Integrative and Instrumental Motivation. We can have different perception on this topic, please let it make it more descriptive so other can enjoy it as well.

integrative motivation .. like promoting to your country, your religion, your own language even
instrumental has materialistic connotation like .. high status, job, money etc
