What about some sayings?

1) There's no accounting for tastes:You cannot guess  who or what another person may like.

2) Actions speak louder than words: What you do matters more than what you say.

3)All's well that ends well: If  the final result is good, earlier difficulties or setbacks no longer matter.

4)All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy: It's not healthy to spend all your time working and never relaxing.

5)Bad news travel fast: People are often quicker to pass on bad news than good news.

6)A bad workman blames his tools: said by sb who excuses  his own inefficiency by complaining about the quality of his tools or the material he has to work with .

7) Better late than never:It's better to do sth such as arrive or complete a task late than not do it all.

8)Better to be safe than sorry: Better to be overcareful  and take precautions that may not be necessary than to risk an accident,illness or failure that you will regret.

9)Birds of a feather flock together:People of similar character , habits or tastes seek each others company.

  • We have the same sayings here in Ukraine too:) But you know, every saying can be refuted... And i can add one more saying: A gift in the hand is better than two promises. Actually in my language we say it like this "Better to have little bird in your hand than big one on the sky". It means - sometimes is better to take the things which can you get easy right now than wait and risk for something better. For example - casino. But also it can be used in many life situations.
