Sentence Building Exercise Needed.

Do you have experience in building sentences from random words?

Learning to integrate uncommon words into my active vocabulary is not easy without some practice.   All my life the task on hand was to formulate sentences that reflects my thinking and I got good at it. Now I am facing a 180 degree turn and utilizing preselected random words, I need to come up with sentences. Not just any kind of sentence but the one that best enables me to retain the new words.

The group of words is from my studies and my goal of accomplishment is to bring them into my active vocabulary so I can apply them at will. The idea is to make these practice sentences ridiculous so my mind can process it faster and better for long-term retention. I am thinking along the line of writing jokes but that in itself an exercise with its own dynamics and takes a special mindset.

Do you have a tool or any advice to people like me who does not do well in traditional classroom studies of a language; to learn words like:
