It's been so long I have never been here because of the bad connection of this are, my new residence. And now, I have use new provider for my internet connection. I hope to be able to have much sharing about English, especially about English culture.
Well, I wan to share something. It may be important or not. I
n my country, in this province, there is a small village named Tulung Rejo. This village is known well as "Kampung Inggris" means English Village, because in this village you can find so many English course companies. Most of students staying in an English dormitory, and they must speak English every day.
I had ever been there for 2 months. I thought before that I will get in touch with English culture there. But, it was not like I picturing. The sense of the culture is not like when I am watching an English movie. I think it's cause most students there speak English but with Indonesian style or what.
I got a brilliant idea (in my opinion) at that time. There's something missed: culture or art. I think language is closely related to social and culture. It means that language can not be apart with the culture and everything related to this. I would ask such an artist there to hold a cultural event with the topic "English culture", but I had no time to do that.
If in that village often held such cultural events, I think many tourist will come there and doing culture exchange/language exchange.
