How to log in to ESL forums?

Hello,

I have a grammar question and I believe "ESL forums" http://www.englishclub.com/esl-forums/index.php is the best place to ask.

But how do I log in there? Whatever I tried to put into field "username", I only got "You have specified an incorrect username".

It sounds weird but I don't know my own username. Actually, more than that: I don't know if the username at the ESL forums is different from my username here, at http://my.englishclub.com , and if I have a username at the ESL forums at all.

Any help is much appreciated.

  • Hi Anton,

I'm sorry for the confusion. Unfortunately, ESL Forums are separate from MyEC. They were built with a different system long before MyEC. Hopefully it can all be integrated one day. For now, you need to register to use the EC forums.

  • As far as I understood, it needs a different username and password than on MYEC. And, here I found a page that may help you: http://www.englishclub.com/esl-forums/faq.php#f0r0

    • Nafis,

thank you for trying to help.

Before posting my question, I had read that question in the FAQ to which you refer. Unfortunately, the answer is just generic nonsense written by the programmers who created the forum software, and not by the owner of this particular forum.

    • Could you finally sign in and ask your question in that forum or you are still having that problem? Please let me know. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience.

    • Yes,

after all I was able to find "Register" link and to register an account (separate from my account here, on my.englishclub.com).

Having a sort of a menu with "Join" in it and a separate "Register" link in another part of the page was completely confusing. "Join" registers an account on my.englishclub.com, while "Register" joins the ESL forum.

      Thank you anyway.

    •

I'm so glad you finally could do that. I definitely deliver your message to the administrator. I hope this will be more user-friendly. Thanks a lot for your opinion.

    • Nice job, dear Nafis! Thanks for assisting Anton. The link you included was helpful to me, though. Have a great weekend! :)

    • no problem dear Robbie! I'm glad it was helpful for you! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Mine was quite good, resting, shopping and visiting one of my relatives. Have a nice time!
