How TO Ask For Order Amongst Siblings?

Hi all,

 

if there are 10 children in a family and if i am talking to the 6th child, how do i ask about his place amongst his siblings and how do i also ask if he is the first or the second male child?

 

is there a particular format that can be followed for order amongst siblings?

 

PLEase let me know at the earliest :)

      well there is still a slight confusion as to the cultural influence here in India. The first language influence is such that the term "how manyth" is perfectly acceptable in the local language. However in english it just sounds wrong.

       

      so hitherto, i shall just ask, "how many siblings are older to you?"
