HELP!! I have had people tell me in person that they added me and they wondered why I hadn't responded. That is from people that I know and sent here to join MyEC. New member mido.hassan told me he added me and I got an email also saying that he had added me. I followed the link and nothing was there.
I did get a request from a brand new member on my page while I was trying to solve this problem, so I see that it works sometimes. I also just got an email saying that:
Novance Silitonga has added you as a friend on EnglishClub.com
To accept this friend request, visit:

Likewise, that link is a dead end? I tried to follow it and accept Novance but there was no request shown to follow on my page (sorry, Novance, I tried). I know that Mido did not cancel his request and I finally did find his page with advanced search. I asked him to add me again to see if it is still a problem. I don't know Novance yet,
but I find it strange that requests are made by members,
notifications are sent by English Club,
and then the links do not lead to a request which is normally shown on my page in the upper right-hand box with settings, alerts and inbox.
I am using a computer with Windows XP, service pack 3. My email from MyEC that notifies me of the request is from a Gmail account. The email is fine and the link takes me to my list of friends, but not a friend request.
The problem seems to be that the request is lost somehow, instead of appearing in the upper right of my page so I can click on it.
I give up and think this may require the Tech Guys to sort out.
Any ideas? Has anyone else had this happen?
