My sister and I were discussing the topic which was about is it acceptable to abort a retarded fetus before it is born. I told yeah we should not torture them and ourselves but my sister said that we must accept them and take care of them. I would be glad if you share your opinions. Thanks in advance.

Dear Mary, thanks for sharing your idea. You metioned a good point here. Actually it is more cruel to kill a person many times during his or her life time by not giving them enough love or not taking good care of them.
It´s hard to say this, I hope God forgives me, but my answer is yes, I approve abortion. There are many reasons to defend abortion (I´m going to talk about my country Colombia)
1. Since 2010, almost 5.000 childrens have been abandoned and turned over to the ICBF (Colombian Family Welfare Institute).
2. 1.200 childrens enter prostitution in 2014. (Only in one of the biggest city of the country)
You know what most of these cases have in common? Unintended pregnancies, drugs, poverty, etc.
I´m sure most of you are good parents, you care and love your childrens; but many times adults are not responsible, they don´t deserve be parents, because they don´t love their childrens; in these cases I prefer a legal and safe abortion that a child without hope.
Dear Gerardo,that's so sad to see such irresponsible parents. We must provide the best environment for our kids and as human beings for other kids as well. Unfortunately we can find such things that you mentioned even in developed countries. Thanks for sharing your idea.
Hi Setareh, well Colombia is not a developed country, there are many problems here, but there are many people who are willing to build a better place to live for our next generations.
Dear Jeffrey thanks for sharing your idea. I think we can not not decide to have a baby and then after 4 or 5 months change our ideas about having it. So my point was about some special occasion and in particular retarded kids.

It should be/is allowed when there is any danger for mother to conceive that particular baby.
