Yesterday , I had an interview and I didn't want to be late . The weather was awful so I set off in plenty of time and I was an hour early . I decided to spend the time in a small cosy restaurant.
Straight away , I noticed a handsome young man. He seemed familiar . He was slim but muscular and rather tall. I was trying to think where I knew him from when he looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back. He waved me over his table.
He was an old friend of my brother's . He was friendly, interesting and funny . I was laughing at one of his jokes when we heard the sound of screeching tyres from outside. We looked out of the window and saw some car headlights heading towards us. I was terrified .
Instantly, John(that was his name) grabbed me and pulled me into the restaurant's kitchen . We heard the sound of shattering glass and smashing furniture and then everything went quiet. . Ambulances and police arrived within minutes and thankfully no one was injured . "You saved my life . How can I repay you?" I cried . "How about dinner ? Not here though , it needs some remodelling ," he replied jokingly.
