i'm trying to construct a sentence......
in it, i was kicked out of a state spelling bee.
and so was the other student from my county.
instead of "we", i'm attempting "i (we)" cuz i was the antagonist that got us both kicked out.
so should it be "i (we) was escorted out", "i (we) were escorted out" or i (we) was/were escorted out"?
which subject is being dealt with in that sentence (if not both)?
