Ask questions like " what do u think of..... ?, Do you like....? " or comment on something in his profile like e.g " I see you love that song, I love it also and love that singer, have u ever heard his another song.......?"
In general, open an interesting topic and you will participate with it. Don't care alot about your mistakes or your grammar. You will improve yourself day by day
