Writing Challenge: My Father

Are you proud of having a daughter like me?

My father, I'm anyway proud of having a daddy like you.

Mother told me it was you who taught me to speak,

Still the first word I spoke out was "mom".

You know your daughter is always afraid of height,

Yet I feel secure riding around your neck,

actually it is exciting.

You used to call me little shortie,

Haha, with mom's heels I look taller than you!

You keep the habit to give me a gift on Chilren's Day,

Even though your daughter is no more a kid.

The first rose I received was from you,

On your 10th wedding anniversary.

......

I have too many sweet memories between us,

As many as my long thick black hair.

I have much gratitude to express,

First and foremost.

I love you.

By the way, Sir!

Next time try to be wise,

Do not compliment me more beautiful than your wife.

Mother is jealous!

Giggling.

  • Dear sis sewar, I'm sure your father is proud of you and he is watching you in the heaven. Guess what, he is satisfied and smiling!

    God bless you! XOXO.

  • Giggling, thanks Rafik! My mom just pretends to be jealous~ Yes, she loves me too, I think as deep as my father's love.

    Have a nice weekend. ;-)

  • Hi Mickey, glad to see and read your blog about your lovely father's affection for you. I am sure, You're your father’s lovely daughter. You're so much your father’s daughter that when you were a child and the men would gather in one room and the women in another, you were the little girl hanging out with the men because you wanted to be with your dad.

Take care and Have a lovely weekend!

  • What a nice tribute of your father. He must be so proud of you. By the way, even when you were 101 years old, as far as your father is concern, you will be forever his little girl. :)

  • I wish I had a daughter. With the "one child" policy, I have one child - my son. I'm going to have a daughter-in-law, though.

  •           Sweety, after I had read your topic, I wished my dad is still a live just to ask him the same question; Are you proud of having a daughter like me? ......Lucky you sweety, may you find an answer for your question, one day. But I........will never know the answer of mine. God bless you my little princess.

  • Be sure he proud of you.
And I think there is no reason to make your mother jealous, because she loves you too.
