Writing challenge: My cup of coffee

So here I am with my blog dedicated to MY MUG/CUP of COFFEE and I hope others will also join soon this challenge :) ehmm.. like Mary, Eva, Ellen promised :-p

Firstly, let me tell you that some months ago a big tragedy happened! My favorite, awesome mug my sister gave me died!!! I felt like crying, when I myself broke it :( It was such a cute mug with a picture of zebra - this drawing was intentionally childish - exactly the style I like! It looked little bit like this but it was much more better :/

Now I m using often a mug my mom gave me as a gift. It is one of those classical mugs with name and some weirdo explanation of your character. However, there are just positives, so drinking from something like this makes narcissist like me feel good! Let me show you my yesterday's coffee..

As for drinking coffee - I drink coffee twice a day. First cup I have at work with my colleagues in the morning. We usually little bit chat, gossip and enjoy our morning tasty espresso. Yeah.. this is  an adventage of officers :) Second cup I prepare usually when I am back home from work in the afternoon. Sometimes with husband, sometimes alone but it is relaxing to me. You know, when my working hours are over, I must almost run to the tram station, then I rush to the school and then to the kindergarten to manage everything in time :) So to come home after this all and have a good cup of coffee is like a therapy!

I was thinking, how to describe you my process of preparing coffee but eventually I got an idea to take the pictures! So here is my homemade espresso. In fact, I have just a little espresso machine, grinder and some good coffee beans - ehm not those expensive that some animals excreted :D

Thanx for reading my blog and I am looking forward to reading YOUR BLOGS...

  • Elen,
thank you for reading it and for liking my mug :) I think it is not that complicated to prepare coffee like described with the pictures ;) you would also make it easily :)
  • Coffee is good for those who have an hectic lifestyle, right? :D

I see mugs are a common item to use as a present, good to know as another option when buying gifts and not only the typical fridge magnets. So will the mug youll send me similar to this one? It's pretty cool!

Thanks for your blog smart Luci. I bet members in your house don't get bored with you haha.. Keep it up.
  • Oh, Luci, I am so sorry about your favourite mug. Crap :/

This one with your name is cute :) I like the flowers and the colors.

Yeah, after a tiring day you need a cup of coffee to relax. So, I guess this is one of your favourite moments of the day. :)

Thanks for sharing your cups/mugs and the photos of how you made your coffee. I have no idea about how to make a coffee in a machine, lol!

  • Hello Frank,

happy to read your comment here :-D and ohhhhh watta observer you are!!! Well, I don't wear my wedding ring 24/7, you are right! :-D

  • Robbiieee,
I m glad to see your comment here! :) Finally somebody understands my sadness! Btw as for me..I m oposite I hate milk in coffee but as an obbedient wife I also prepare capuccino for my husband :)
  • Howdy, Blue-Sky Thinker!

I can feel you pain. :P I also had a personalized mug which was given to me on my birthday, but somebody chipped its handle. That was years ago and until now I've no idea know who the perpetrator was. I love your how-to (make coffee) photos. They can speak for themselves without writing any instructions he he.

I usually drink a cup of coffee in the morning and cuppas of tea in late afternoon. Sometimes, I mix them with calamansi or milk. I also love a cup or two of hot chocolate if the weather is quite cold. By the way, thank you for sharing another writing challenge!

    Cheers!

    Robbie :)

  • Risty, thanx for your condolences, they are highly apprecuated! This espresso ain't that strong like you imagine it...depends on density of ground coffee I guess and ammount of coffee you use :) btw this tube ...I have never seen it :o and as stupid not technical thinking person I can't imagine it how it works :D Thanks for comment, dear!
