Why Do I write by Cathie E West

I have several reasons why I write not just because it is one of the lecturer's requirements. See for yourself.

To Serve

Sharing information—ideas, experiences, skills, research—that helps educators become more proficient is a valuable way to serve others. A book is the ideal communication vehicle for
“sharing” since it has the potential to reach a wide audience. Applying Servant Leadership in Today’s Schools by Mary Culver (2009) exemplifies the type of book that “serves” practitioners. Culver presents service leadership strategies coupled with authentic scenarios that support their implementation.
To Lead
Professionals in the vanguard of leading-edge educational practices often write books that show others how to follow along. A case in point is Richard and Rebecca DuFour and Robert Eaker. This influential trio has written extensively about the role professional learning.

  • What is kuskus?
  • Saya skuka unggul kamu dan saya suka teman saya Saptarina. Writing is considered on of the most important skills of the language. Have you ever eaten kuskus, Kurniati?

  • Dear Kurniati,

reading is undeniably super powerful, super imaginative, super traveler, super duper knowledge giver!
Do you know what is common to Oprah, Jennifer Lawrence, Braley Cooper and Sarah Jessica Parker? or to Albert Einstein, Galileo, Plato, Aristotle, and Decorates? the ALL like books, they were and they are book lovers, book worms.
Reading will not only enhance your learning, vocabulary, perception but also your imagination! The success rate of book readers is too high to think that it is just a mere pastime.

I love books also, and any other reading materials..and I feel powerful. haha!
    thanks for this blog.God bless!

  • Sangat bagus teman ku, Kurniati Saptarina.  Saya juga membacha atau menulis untuk nya. Look at reason number one, it's the most important of all. Thanks for sharing Kurni.
