Unicorn Pride

Unicorn Pride

I was born gay.

My blood is rainbow.

I am proud of my gayness.

Being gay is my biggest strength.

I can only succeed by being who I am.

I do not know any other way around it.

All I want is to be who I was born to me.

But I was afraid when my mama said, “what a shame!”

when she saw a gay couple getting married on the news.

Mama, please love me no matter how, as gay or straight, my love for you is the same.

When someone said, “It’s so disgusting” as a teacher showed us a gay speech in class,

I was rendered speechless as I did not know what was wrong with being gay and special.

Please grant me the courage to release the caged but super proud unicorn in me.

I am longing to join the gossip about the hottest hunks in town and on TV.

Help me shatter the cultural prison that jails and handcuffs us.

I yearn to express my love and exclaim, “Wow, Zac is so hot.”

I need to go out and look for my true love.

Ultimately, I am just a human being.

Yes, I am a guy, and I love guys.

Love it or not, I won’t change.

And I will not apologize,

as I was born this way.

Love always thrives.

It will lift me up.

Someday, anyhow, I will be able to celebrate my true colors.

    Oi there again,

I think it is a shame to humanity and a heinous sarcrilage when any holy script is used by perfidious, xenophobic bigots to assault and insult people of different mindsets.

  • I feel the need to post a link for those who follow this blog and have read some comments not to misunderstand and know what the actual Catholic Church thinks about this matter.

No need to watch more than the two first minutes. For those who don't know, he's the Pope Francisco, actual Head of Catholic Church.

  • Oi there again,

Apropos "Lady", don't quite get why should a Lady worry or bother herself with whom I am kind to sleep with?

  • Toby, although I don't sympathise with your community, I'm glad that you have the courage to express yourself the way you are and what you feel like. Besides of learning English, (since I'm just a 'street level ignorant') that's the second reason why I like Ec, so keep it up.

It seems that some try to stop freedom of speech here too, even with very high manners ways of talk, I suggest you not to pay too much attention to it. I think that's only hatred. Or maybe envy?

Btw, We'd better stop arguing here since this illness is contagious, that's why some members want a friend list clean of sick people and supporters, no? :D I guess this is well known by biologists too. Thanks for enlightening ignorant tolerant members.

Nimzaf, sorry that I haven't obey you, but I was educated in a free and tolerant democracy environment and I can't accept how a member is denigrated in front of my eyes. As for me, no more to say.
  • Dear friends please stop now.
    Please Please Please!
  • Like it or not, I really don't care. I will just keep expressing myself.

  • Walker, can you justify why gayism is impurity? Just because you can't imagine a man's body being subjected to sex that way, it doesn't mean that it's wrong or that my ideas aren't worth sharing. I think just by being proud of my identity, I am doing something good by giving a confidence boost to those gay people living in the shadow. Just because I love men, it doesn't mean I am not a man. Just because I love men, it doesn't mean I am abnormal. I can assure you I'm an excellent person graduating with a first class honor degree in English linguistics. I worked harder than many of my heterosexual counterparts at school. And I am more responsible and professional than many of my heterosexual colleagues. I spend more time preparing all my classes before every single class I teach. And I love my mother. I do my part contributing to the humanity. I am by no means an evil.

  • Evangelina you scare me when you get angry, lol.

Well, I also admit this kind of comments make me lose my temper, since it's difficult to understand this sort of minds in this century. As you say, there is a relation between the way of thinking in a society and the development of that society in the world, and I don't refer to religion.
Anyway changes always come from inside and with time so I won't spend my time arguing with a wall.
I just suggest these tunnel vision people to try to travel more to realise there is a whole world out there to discover with many different opinions, colours and 'sick' people with several 'illness' but sick or healthy, all they can think by themselves and no one tell them what to wear, what to say, what to listen to, what to pray, whom to worship...
Lucky not all 'sick' people are born in Bigotryland to be hanged.
  • Rysperki and Evangelina, thanks for your compassion.

  • Oi there,

So, sick people do not deserve our compassion or empathy..... that's very human, I dare say... but to my humble and retarded thinking, those "sick" people do have a feeling  and are subject to the same emotions that torment the "normal" ones. The "sick" want to love and be loved, just like the rest...they feel the bitterness of being humiliated by the agressive and ruthless people who tend to call themselves normal just to belittle and humiliate those who are not like them.
