Hello my friends!

When passing by your precious blogs and discussions, I sometimes come across some mistakes: grammatical, spelling and others concerning structure and punctuation. Every time that happens, I feel like I need to correct them; howerver, I hold myself back and say," What if my correction hurts the feelings of the person in question; what if that person feels like his/her English is not good and stops writing again." To be honest with you, I won't be able to live with this burden. As a result, I've decided to carry out this poll in order to find out what you people think about my offer... What are you waiting for, folks? Go and rain me with your opinions!

PS, I will be very grateful in if you correct my mistakes in return.

Many thanks,

Lama

  • Dear Lama,

Thank you very much for the correction you did to my comments... I am so grateful to you.. I will keep in my mind and not repeat this mistake next time... Thank you once again and please help me forever... take care

  • Hi Chencho!

Thank you my friend very much for stopping by my blog. Well, you made few grammatical mistakes-you should've said" I have been trying my best..." ;another thing" but haven't seen any improvement" Honestly, your English is quite good and understandable. It'd have been better if you had said" to improve my written and spoken English"

Well, I guess that's it. By the way, don't trouble your mind too much with how to avoid commiting mistakes 'cuz we eventually learn from them, don't we?

  • Dear Lama,

I had been trying my best to improve my english in written and spoken but didn't see any improvement... I would be very thankful if you could correct my english whenever I write something.. I really want to learn a lot from you and from other members... I am so happy to know about MyEC and I felt that this is the best website I found in improving myself.... Of course i browsed many many websites around the globe, but this site has made me feel really nice.. Please correct me if I make any mistakes... Will be so grateful.... thanks.

  • Thank you very much dear Lama amar.

I'm so glad to see my correction. Oh, my punctuations problem...

  • Hi Rocio, it's my pleasure to help all the members here learn English, though, I'm only a learner just like you,but sometimes I come across some mistakes and feel like I know the answer, so that's why I offer my help. Anyway, it's not really a big deal that you can't correct my mistakes and to be honest with you, it's more than enough for me that you accept my help. Wish you all the best.

PS: you're English is good, so keep up!

  • Hi Rajesh! it's always wonderful to read your comments. My friend, you made some mistakes, but it's ok; we all make mistakes, don't we?

1-"thanks a lot for your blog or you can say thanks for this blog"

2-" in the begining, ..." after it we put a comma.

3-instead of saying" I heard by many members...", you can say," I was told by many members not to think about my errors, just write..."

4-"I never mind if someone corrects my errors"

5-" you should never think of correcting"

Thanks again, buddy. Wish you all the best.

  • Dear Lama amar first of all thanks a lot for your this blog.

In beginning when I joined EC, I heard by many members don't think about your errors, just write, write and write. Yeah, that helped me and I can say today I'm better than yesterday in my English because of EC. In beginning I used to write "please correct my errors" in bottom of my blog but very few times my mistakes were corrected by some members.

I always like someone to correct me. I never mind if someone correct my errors because I know very well, where I'm in my English.

Thanks a lot to those, who do this great job for us.

I think you're not very old on EC and I have been seeing you very active in blogging so, in my point of view you should never think to correct if there are some errors in others writing, I know it makes beginners disappointed for a while but it is the true.
  • You're most welcome, Manal. Thanks for stopping by.
  • Before I forget, dear Anah, you said "coreccting", right? It should've been spelled as " correcting". It's not a big problem! Keep it up, dear!
  • Thanks for your support, Anah. It means a lot :-)
