To a Little Star.

To a Little StarLittle star, who lights my life,Thanks to you I am still alive.You bring light where it is dark,Like a lamppost in a park.Up in the sky I saw thee,Twinkling and winking your eyes to me.“Look at me, I am right here,thanks to me your life is clear.”The moon is your mother,The sun is your father,The comets are your brothers,And the planets... I don’t matter.Tonight I’ll be your lover,We’ll be together one more time.And we’ll create a new constellation,The lovely result of our relation.In the morning you’ll be gone,But will be back at night.Come back soon, don’t leave me alone.To be alive, I need your light.

  • Hi Alene. Thanks for stopping by.
    Actually, my "former" star didn't have sisters. She just disappeared from my sky.
  • Thanks, Fresh, though "that" specific star already lost her light. It became a black hole.
  • @anu:
    Why nostalgic??
  • @ Nida:
    Thanks. I guess 99.99% has heard or learned that song.

    @deuce:
    Sorry to hear that. Hope you will find your real star, and that it won't be just a shooting star.
  • My star has vanished but i hope he will come back :))
  • Wonderful poem! It reminds me of a very famous rhyme from my childhood,

    twinkle twinkle little star,
    how I wonder what you are ................
