The woman in front of the mirror

She's  standing in front of the mirror and looks at herself.
"So, here I am", she thinks."Hey... lady, where has the time gone?"

She often makes jokes about herself and her age. Others say she is still attractive and even young people feel attracted by her.... maybe because she has still a young soul, she is understanding, educated, chatty, a good listener and friend. She has a good feeling for people and her advises are in demand at her family, friends and colleagues.

She often feels melancholic or sad when she thinks about her life but she hides very well her feelings. Then she feels lonely even if she is surrounded by many people.
Nobody would believe she isn't happy. Nobody sees the tears in her eyes behind the mask. Ohhhh, she is good at pretending! .... She dances, she sings, tells jokes, laughs ... the full program of happiness. She plays a role like on a stage of a theater.

Too long time she stuck in family obligations ... just caring for others ... always ready to help. Does someone care for her? She isn't used to ask for help.

Often she thinks about to change her life completely but she is afraid to loose everything what she loves. The good advices what she gives to others ...she doesn't use them for herself.

She feels so active and alive, she wants still experience so much. The world is beautiful and many adventures and challenges wait still for her. She is curious and hungry for life ... yes... she isn't young anymore but she is still alive and she has still dreams. She is afraid to miss so much until she dies sometime.

But there isn't anyone who dreams the same dreams. Her husband loves his peace in front of the TV, sports and thrilling movies are his favorite broadcasts. Every day the same old routine. She knows she is the only one who can change everything but she doesn't do it.

The woman in front of the mirror sighs, wipes a tear from her cheeks and goes back to the daily routine......

  • Hahaha, Fr@nk, you have good advices but whether you believe it or not, she has tried everything of your proposals except that thing with the "old flame" ...

She has admirers but she never ever would cheat her hubby.

She has no depressions at all, she loves to live.
