THE RAIN  PARTY 

No where do I live

 The unexpected is my address

Sailing afar like wild fish

 Fire in by blood.

 Sparkles in my eyes.

 Searching for the freedom of the wind.

Mastered my all gypsies.

Running after green clouds

Drinking with my eyes thousands of images.

Going to the very end of travel.

Sailing towards another space.

 Ridding myself of dust.

 Forgetting my name.

Forgetting the names of plants…

The history of trees…

Fleeing from the sun

 Which with boredom lashes me…

Fleeing from cities.

For centuries asleep.

Underneath the feet of the moon.

Leaving behind me.

Glassy eyes.

Stony Skies.

My ancestral a bodes. 

Ask me not to return to return to the Sun. 

To the rain party I now belong….

Nizar Qabbani biography

Nizar Qabbani was born in Damascus on March 21st 1923. to a prestigious Syrian family, Nizar Qabbani was to become one of the most loved and revered poets in the Arab world. ...He had occupations including poet, diplomat, diplomat, book publisher and writer.  He completed his study of law at the Syrian University in .He died in London in April 1998 aged 75 ..
