The mysteriousness of LOVE

So many stories have been told about love. So many books have been written about love.  As long as people live the story about love will live on.  In every country there are so many stories and legends about love. People like listening and reading these kinds of love stories.

There are of course different kinds of love for instance a kind of love between family members, the kind of love people feel about their country or the kind of love that some have about a belief or a goal so accordingly they devote all their lives towards it. Whenever we talk about love mostly the first impression is romantic love. When two people of the opposite gender feel so passionately about each other; it seems like they can not live without each other so they decide to share the journey of life together.

When we plant a seed in soil it needs so many things in order to grow and flourish. It’s the same for love. It also needs so much of caring and devotion and sacrifices.  Where there is love there is no ‘I’. Where there is love there couldn’t be any selfishness. There is no comparison; there is no asking of the other person for being this way or that way. The only person you see is him or her. You see nothing wrong with him or her. We all desire to be loved and to love some one.

I always think that love is something extraordinary and so special isn’t it? I am a wife who loves her husband. I am a mother who loves her kids. I am a child who loves her parents. I am a sister who loves her siblings. I am a friend who loves her friends and last but certainly not the least I am a human who loves all human beings.  I always wonder if I love them for myself or for their own sake. Would I love them if they don’t love me back? Do I love them unconditionally? And so many other questions unanswered in my mind.

I believe that love will give us the power to forgive others, to help them through out the difficulty, to support them and to treat them kindly. To put it in a nutshell I believe actions speak louder than words; so love would be proven through out actions not by expressing sweet nothing words.  That’s why I think love is so hard to be defined and therefore it is so mysterious.

  • The most mysterious thing about love is when a person is hurting you and doesn't give you the love that you deserve and you still love him/her in every way. I really found it so mysterious.

Nice blog you have here sis setareh, this kind of blogs always catches my attention :D

  • A very true picture of LOVE Setareh.

You love this LOVE.............the blog of your.

  • We always begin with love for ourselves, it is instinctive, we are alive when someone loves us.  But when we are loved by God, this love which is pure and true, it purifies our love into 'agape" or true love which does not seek to be loved in return but loves only for the sake of the beloved.  This is perhaps all our mission in life, to reach this kind of love so that love no longer comes with a price but becomes a gift.  You are indeed wise Setareh for seeing the mystery we all need to ponder. :)

  • Love , the words with so many meanings

Setareh, your description of love are so true

  • Yes, love can be so mysterious.

There may be so many definitions of love. I can't imagine a world without love - we need love. Love can be so elusive, though.
