Life is like riding by a train with a one-way ticket.
You have a starting point, and you have a final destination.
The train of life does not have a timetable.
The start time is known, but nobody can tell you how often you have to change trains before you reach the final destination, or when you will arrive there.

You start the journey of your life, and you are not the only passenger on the train.
Lots of people are sitting there, many have found their place, others are still seeking.
There are old, middle-aged, and young people.

You look for a seat, and if you find one, then your journey starts without return.
There is no chance for return. You may only change the direction forward but never reverse because life is a one-way ticket.
Sometimes the train runs fast, sometimes slowly and sometimes it even stops. Time never stops. Time continues, even when the train stops.

How often you have to change trains is dependent on how often you get lost.
Some people will stay with you until the final destination.
Some people will leave the train earlier than you want.
All those people will influence you for good or bad.

When you begin your journey, it seems time stands still, but it's only an illusion.
When you look through the window, you can see how time is running out.
You don't get back the time of the past, and you can't stop the current time.
The past time lies behind you. Use well the current time to influencing the upcoming time positively. The train's windows are like mirrors. They are witnesses, and they show you your actions.

You will experience love and hate, happiness, sadness, up and downs, trust, disappointment, profit, and loss. Sometimes, you want to leave the train, but all the doors are locked. It's our duty and task to manage and to bear the facets of life until its end.
At the final destination, when the doors will be unlocked for you to leave the train, you are at the final destination of the journey of life, the end of life.
If you then can look at yourself and your actions, without any regrets, you can say you have lived a worthy life.

  • Kain problem Rose. Betti shoon. The definite and indefinite articles are very easy to study. They just need some rules to follow. Hey! I am counting on you to learn some German. I hope you send me the friend request. Many thanks Rose.

  • I'm so sorry Dara Gino, it seems I did misunderstand you all the time. Only when I read the comment, written by Mishaikh, I got what you meant.

My mistake was to write  "AN"  one-way ticket insteed of "A" one-way ticket. Hahaha, sorry I was beeing confused .... my brain had a big black hole. I was thinking that you wanted me to remove "AN" or "A"  at all. I was so focused on it, that I didn't see my actually mistake.

    Please excuse me.

  • halo Rose! We use 'a' or 'an' according to the sound of the word after them. I do not want to give the subject more than its value. I have been teaching this for more than twenty years. Please, watch my video about the indefinite articles.  Thanks again for your kind patience.

  • Thanks Mishaikh, it's a good idea to ask a native.

  • Written very nicely.

'one' though starts with a vowel, but it does not have the sound of vowel.  It has the sound 'won'.

I also feel hindered in the flow using 'an' before 'one'.  Let someone from native explain it.

  • Danke Rose! Is it possible to send me the friend request? Thanks for your nice manners and wide chest.

  • The song is from Boney M. dear Dara Gino. It was a nice song at that time. And by the way... I don't feel offended, don't worry. We are learners and it's good to tell each other our mistakes. We just can learn through it.

  • Guten tag Rose! first of all, I did not mean to offend or demean you, my dear friend. Just look at that expression which you have written on the first line, ( an one way ticket ) or (a one-way ticket)? Which is better? I like the expression, ( the windows on the train are like a mirror). your marvelous blog reminded me of that song (One-way ticket ) by Neil Sedaka, Eruption or Boney M. I am not sure.

  • Thanks for your comments, yes, we should forget the past, but we also should to use all of our experiences from the past to make our future enjoyable, lovable and livable.
    It's my wish for everone.

  • Dear Rose! Great and good analysis about life.

We should live in the present, forget past, and hope for the future, live life to have a better afterlife.
