the king

the king

the story takes place in andalusia long ago. It's a story of three young men, who used to carry the people's goods from the market to their homes using donkeys. One night , after a hard day of work, the three ate their dinner together and then sat down to talk. As they were speaking one of them, named mohammed, said " if i was king, what would you wish for ?"
the two men burst into laughter, they said " this is impossible! How could you be king? You work with a donkey. But mohammed ignored their laughter and repeated his question again. He said " what if l was king? What would you wish for?"
seeing that he was serious, the first man said, "i'd want gardens and a horse and a hundred thousand dinars of gold. The second man said, " if you become king, then put me on a donkey and let me face its back end it while someone parades me through the village saying " this man is a crazy liar". And let him take me to jail. It was obvious he didn't think mohammed could ever be king. That night, they all fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning, mohammed woke up early. Mohammed felt their words were true. How could a person who worked with donkeys ever become king ? mohammed thought a lot. What is the first step to reach my goal, he asked himself. Then, he decided to sell his donkey and to try to find work in the police station.
He worked hard there until he finally became the head of the police department. It was at this time that the king died. Mohammed was declared king. He opened the country and expanded his reign.
Thirty years passed and then one day, he suddenly remembered his friends who worked with him. He sent for them and asked them to come. The two arrived and then entered. They were taken to see the king. They were shocked to see their friend, mohammed, wearing the crown.
Mohammed said to the guards," i was with these two men thirty years ago. We were working with donkeys. One night, we were talking. I said to them, if i become king , what would you like? He asked the first one." Do you remember what you wished for? The man said, "i asked for gardens and a horse and a hundred thousand dinars of gold. "the king said, " i will give you what you asked for' then, he turned to the second man. " and you? Do you remember what you wished for? The man said, " if you become king, put me on a donkey and let me face its rear end. Let someone parade me through the streets while calling me a crazy liar and then have him take me to jail.
The king said, " and you shall have what you wished for. Know that nothing is impossible and that god is capable of everything.

  • thanks for give me advice, I will be careful next time. my bad is that I know these rules.
  • In writing (Particularly in English language) there are some rules to follow "Proper Punctuation" is one of them).

A sentence always begins with a capital lettered word, and ends with a period (.)

There should always be proper spacing in between the words, sentences and signs.

"I" always written in capital (uppercase) when comes alone.

All Proper nouns are written with capital letter/ Ex: Pakistan, John.

  • Everything is possible simply dedication require.

  • Thank you bro :)
  • You are right gozal, "hard work with understanding motivations" then it is seldom that our Lord would turn us down............................How high you are the judgement of Allah will be up to that height...................so keep your struggles going on.

  • Thank you Seeker :)
  • I think, the key to ambition is understanding your motivations.
as you say nothing impossible just if we can believe in ourselves.
  • Nothing is impossible but we have to work hard for it and let our faith guide us.
