Chapter 8 : Under The Weather

Hello! Hello! How are you guys, especially to all the ladies of MyEC? Fly wet kisses from here. Opps! I shouldn't do that. At the moment, over here, the vet said that there's a virus attacking cats and killing them. I don't know the name, but it made my moms very worried.

You see, I was not feeling so well last week, or you can say I was under the weather. Out of the blue, I felt so sluggish. I lost my appetite and just wanted to sleep. At first my moms were so happy, because they thought I was just getting fed up with the antics of annoying Cappuccino. To be honest, I do sometimes just want to ask Cappuccino to go and play somewhere else. She is really one annoying little, (well not so little anymore, she is getting fatter everyday) cat.

Anyway, like I've said, at first my moms were happy. They thought my rumbustious days are over. I've tried to tell my mom Noas that I was not feeling too well. I would glide in between her feet, but she would shoos me away. I would purposely fall asleep in front of her, but she thought I was just too lazy. Even mom Ayu had to bring me down to the kitchen to eat. But they were wrong! Only after two days that they realised I'm not just pretending or just getting fed up with Cappuccino.

So, my moms brought me to the vet. Well thank God I didn't contract any deadly virus. You know how moms like to give food to stray cats that come to the house. I think I should ask my moms to stop welcoming stray cats, they are not good for my health. Hmm... I'm thinking of ways to tell my moms, please give me a few suggestions.

The vet identified that I had a mild case of ulcer in the mouth. That's why it was hard for me to eat my food. How I missed my fried chicken. The vet also wrongly informed my moms that I was an overly spoilt cat and moms readily agreed with her. HEY! I think vet was not being professional in here. And she also used two long and big needles, as long as the arms and as big as Cappuccino, to put some medicine. I really hate it when they stuck a needle to my body. But as usual, I was being a gentleman, and didn't make any fuss over it, though I roared at the vet when she wanted to stick the second needle to me. Come on! Even a Batman will not willingly endure such treatment.

I'm glad the vet told my moms that I just need to take my medicine, and hopefully don't have to have a follow up. Now whenever Cappuccino tries to disturb my beautiful slumber, I already have the energy to take a swipe at her. But on the not so good part of it is that the vet adviced my mom not to allow me to out from the house until the virus die down. Now I'm stuck playing with Cappuccino all day long.

I hope I will be as good as the old me, and will be able to roam the neighbourhood soon. In the meantime, virtual hugs and kisses from me to you.

  • My Sweetest Lady Alice, how I missed you too. I'm glad to tell you that now I'm in the pink of health. Though I know my moms love me, but their hovering was really annoying. Anyway, since I'm healthy again, my moms allowed me to go out and just checking the neighbourhood. I'm glad to welcome you back Lady Alice. And my mom Noas said hi back to you.

  • Oh boy dear Ninos I have missed a lot of your adventures lately and came in a  time when you are having a bout with a mild case of ulcer...well I suppose I should not worry since as you mentioned you have the world's most overprotective moms hovering over you all time!!!  But that is love dear Ninos get use to it...you'll miss it when it's gone.  A nod and a smile to your beautiful mom noas from me!:)

  • My sweet and lovely Lady Evangelina

Well, all ladies of EC are lovely, don't you think? My mom Noas always said that, if no ladies in EC, this website will be as exciting as the Sahara desert.

I know that sometimes those pesky viruses attacked human too. Sometimes my moms will be sneezing and sniffling and pretended to be as sick as the dog.

I'm always nice to Cappuccino, honest! Though most of the times she likes to chase me around the house even I want to sleep. And Cappuccino is sending you her sloppy wet kisses.

    Take care now.

  • Dear Sweet Lady Setareh, I'm glad to tell you that I'm getting better. But no thanks to my moms. They are worst than drill sergeanta. They made me took all my medicines and they even forcefully shoved it down to my throat. Sometimes I think they like for me to get sick so that they can torture me. Anyway, I'm roaming around the house already, though my moms still not allowing me to go out too often. I hope everything will be back to normal, soon.

  • Don't worry you will be fine soon with such a mom that you have you need not to worry at all. Feel better to roam around soon.:)
  • Dear Lady Adaline Bala, I'm replying on behalf of my mom Noas. We have a pact that I will answer every comment on my blogs, and not my mom Noas. :) :) I'm doing much better now. I'm still taking my medicines like a true gentlecat. As for sitting on the hood, hmm ... I don't fancy it at all. I think I prefer to be roaming freely in house.

  • Dear Lady Shoba, I would like to think that Mom Noas is learning from me, not the other way round. Honestly, she has no tickle bones in her body at all before I came along. :) :)

I am healing at the moment. Thank you for your wish my sweet lady,

  • Dear Noaslpls, Very interesting writing. Although its about nino's poor health you explained it in a humorous way. Hope he is doing good now.

  • Wow, Ninos, your writing is as good as your mom's! I enjoyed the light humor and the playfulness in your post.

Be a good boy and take good care of yourself, Ninos!

  • My dear Lady Mary, I'm glad to tell you that I'm a very very very very good patient and take my medicines like a true gentlecat. Now I can eat my food though that annoying Cappuccino still likes to eat my food as well. And that mean vet only gave me salmon flavoured pills only. I will remember to remind my moms to ask for chicken flavoured pills next time. Thanks Lady Mary for that sweet suggestion. I know I can always count on you to come up with brilliant idea.
