I want add something that reading and writing are related skills . I suggest that u must give them a topic ask them to read about discuss it with them in the class . Then they can start writing . They can correct mistakes for each other . However , as I have studied in college there are many forms of writings like descriptive , argumentative and narrative . Each style has its own techinques . U can use a book to help u

Hi Aram ,

I have some experience in teaching but it isn't in higher levels as urs . However , I did use graphic organizers and charts of informations , taking notes and descriptions of pictures form my students . They only write simple paragraphs . Actually , I don't know how can I help u in academic writing for higher levels .

My goal is clear. Yes, I teach university students for English department. I think I should discuss and receive advice from anyone or anywhere around the world. Especially, I love this page who I have been here for more than 5 years. Anyway, I need to know some important topics on TESOL either to research paper or doctoral proposal. I hope my clarification is reaching to you easily. thank you for your help and information.

Thanks for the clarification . There are many methods of teaching they depends on the level and ages of ur students . However , today's teaching methods focus mostly on the student role more than the teacher and group work in classes . They are called Co operative and creative methods of teaching . I can give some ideas just tell me how old are they and what are there level . What is the nature of ur course ??? What are the types of difficulties u are facing ???
