Teaching your Baby English

Did you know that English Club has a page on Facebook? Did you know that they have other content there we can learn from? I just saw something amazing there and if you have young children you may want to go there and see it too.

It is designed to let you learn English along with your baby. I think it is a wonderful idea and you may follow this link to see for yourself. What better thing for your baby than to teach her English while you learn too. You can have a child advanced over his classmates and one who has an easier time learning a foreign language. Here is the link to this item you may like to see. After reading it again I see it is actually a part of our large EnglishClub.com site that I had not visited. If it had not been for Facebook I may have never seen it.Please let me know what you think about teaching English to your baby. I taught it to mine, but it was not so much intentionally (except when reading to them) because that is what we spoke at home.http://www.englishclub.com/young-learners/english-for-babies.htm

  • Hi Bob, thank for your messages. I like to enjoy English Club. But my English is not good. I have too daughters and they like to learn English very much. Can you help them?
    Thank you!

  • My pleasure Tara. I saw it and thought it was fantastic. i have been working on people I know with little ones to get them started on foreign language movies, anime, and so on. Seeing how excited the little ones get with some of the animated movies they will watch over and over got me looking for Japanese originals for my friends.

Then I saw the English for babies idea and realized that I had been overlooking the same possibilities with my own language. I hope all the young parents will give it a try.

  • Hi Bob,

Thanks for featuring this section. I really enjoyed making it . I hope to teach a Mommy (or Daddy) and Me English class with it one day soon. If you have any ideas for more English with Babies lessons, let me know.

    Thanks,
    Tara
  • Now that my son is an English major (a freshman majoring in business English in a university), I don't need to teach him English any more. He learned most of his English from his English teachers, though (not from me). He didn't seem to be interested in being a student of mine, even though I wanted to teach him more. He heard of some of the members here and said he would join MyEC one day. Maybe he is already a member here - who knows. I hope he'll agree that MyEC is an ideal place to learn English, make friends, and so on.
  • Thank you Bob,for drawing my attention to this very importtant question:To teach English for babies.
I knew this site already, and my answer is absolutely yes,I want to teach English to my little ones.
    My bigger one-my daughter-is just 3 years old,and we've already started learning,she can count 1-10(!-lol),and know a few polite answers,as:thank you,you are welcome,help!,please,I am....
We are also used to watch cartoons,as Dora-maybe in English it's different, bcz in Hungarian there are sentences and new words always repeated in English-,where English texts are built in the conversation, and it is repeated often, for memorize it more easily.
As about the Facebook,I knew about it too,I am a fan of the MyEC,so I use to see every new updates on my Facebook page.
Thank you for sharing this info,it's a helpful suggestion.
