Title: Young Night Thought by Robert Louis StevensonALL night long and every night,When my mama puts out the light,I see the people marching by,As plain as day, before my eye.Armies and emperors and kings,All carrying different kinds of things,And marching in so grand a way,You never saw the like by day.So fine a show was never seenAt the great circus on the green; For every kind of beast and manIs marching in that caravan. At first they move a little slow,But still the faster on they go,And still beside them close I keepUntil we reach the town of Sleep.2010_08_21_06_41_59.mp3
Thank you Doaa, I encourage you to do the same challenge, about the word " marching", well, its not my poem, it is Louis Stevenson's poem. In this challenge we pick one of his poems and just read it. I'm glad you liked it. cheers
In my opinion this is very nice you talked about some thing different in that one. Its fantastic and this shows you have greet ability to imagine, but you used (marching)more than two time I think it will be better if you use another word in the same meaning.
Robert Louis is a great poet, how could I resiste such offer reading his poems, I was doing it with joy :) I'm thinking of recording some of my poems, in fact that was an old idea in my head but since you made it alive, ill work on it. To be honest every challenge you made in MyEC is a step forward for every English learner. Thanks for all the encouragment and support, My family are good and waving hi , I hope yours too happy. Your frind, Night.
Wow! Not only a poet, but an excellent poetry reader. I love this poem. You've done an excellent reading of it. I was REALLY hoping you'd take this challenge as you are our club poet. I hope you'll record some of your own poems and share them as audio files too.
Thanks again. I really enjoyed listening to this.
I hope you and your family are doing well.
