Some thoughts about disappointment.

A disappointment is the result of false expectations of something or someone. Also if we don't like to be disappointed, every disappointment always brings us closer and closer towards the truth.
Every single disappointment opens our eyes, but also closes our hearts bit by bit, making us more distanced.
So we should not put our trust in anyone until we feel strong enough to face a disappointment and have learned to accept the pain as part of our lives.
The life is an art and the best teacher. We have to learn the lessons of life without losing the courage and the belief of friendship and love.

  • yes you are right Ma'am Rose.... The real beauty of life is facing thick and thin with smile..i read somewhere Beauty is truth and truth is beauty.......thats quote save us from melancholy, grief and disappointment.....Thanks for sharing

  • I,ve read several times here something like 'don't expect anything from anybody/anything' so that you don't feel sad or disappointed although I think we should dare sometimes. I think it's better to be surprised knowing that disappointment is also part of this life.

  • Dear Rose, sorry for my pessimistic comment yesterday. I have been a bit sad. Lol, even old fools are not completely immune against Passat winds and disappointments.

Thank you for accepting my comment though and please, do not listen to statements of people that are not able to cope with their sadness. You opened a good topic which I´d recommend to sputniks and other missiles that are even less able than me to handle unfortunate circumstances.

    Thanks for your tolerance.

  • MA Chy, thanks a lot for stopping by, reading and commenting my blog.

And you have mentioned an important point. Sometimes, disappointments can change.

  • Dear Paula...what should I say? You did already say everything...better than I would be able to do.

Thanks so much for commenting on that topic.

  • Yes, Roman, we never stop having expectations, The reason is, we are optimists. We only accept also disappointments as a part of life.
Our life would be sad on boring one if we see only one side of the coin. It would be sad and boring.

Thanks for stopping by, reading and commenting on my blog.

  • Hello MARY.

That's a good point and it's the truth.

Disappointments don't go only to one direction. In the same way, how someone disappoints us, we may also disappoint someone else. Sometimes, it happens by mistake but it hurts the same as if we do it intentionally.

The lessons of life can be hard but we have to deal with them.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • I know it hurts sometimes, sometimes it hurts more but I can not stop myself expecting....lol

  • Hahaha, Zivi, what a reasonable explanation and true expression! Suffering from Passat Winds sounds like spring depression.

    Indeed, it's a mature topic...but...fortunately, I haven't learned too much disappointment yesterday.
We can't protect ourselves, it just one side of life.
We have just to learn how we have to deal with.

Next time, I try posting a positive or even funny topic.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • You are welcome, dear Rose.

Actually, I am optimistic, alway believe in the best and never lose hope. But life teaches us not to expect anything from anyone.
