Tags: Real-Dialogue,   Real-Dialogue-September

This is a dialogue about asking and giving directions. I took this conversation from my book. In this dialogue there are three characters Joj, Smith and Neighbour. You can write <your name> as <character> in this dialogue I couldn't find two others character so I am as all three Joj, Smith and Neighbour. I hope we could find partner for doing this from our group.

Asking and giving directions

Joj: Excuse me, pleas.

Smith: Yes please?

Joj: I'm looking for Mr. R K Singh. He lives around here somewhere. Can you help me find his house, please?

Smith: Mr. Singh? What does he do?

Joj: He's a teacher. He gives private tuition in Physics.

Smith: Well, there is one teacher living nearby; but I'm not sure of his name or what subject he teaches. He lives over in that direction.

Smith: Have you got his address?

Joj: Let me check. I should have it here. Here it is. He lives near Ram Ratan Hospital, Rampur Road.

Smith: Oh! I know the house. It must be the same person I'm thinking of. Okay. You go 100 meters along this road, and then turn left. Walk along that road for about two minutes and the sixth building in the street off the main road is his. You should find his name on the wall.

Joj: Thanks. I'm sure I'll be able to fine the house easily.

Joj reaches the address and presses the doorbell, but there is no answer. The doors are locked and the windows are all shut. Standing in front of the door he looks around and as he turns to go back, a person, presumably a neighbor from the adjoining house comes out.

Neighbour: Hi. Who are you looking for?

Joj: I'm looking for Mr. R K Singh but there is no answer and everything is locked up. Isn't he here now?

Neighbour: No, he isn't staying here any longer.

Joj: Oh! I don't suppose you know where he has moved to, do you?

Neighbour: Can I ask what your name is and why you are looking for him?

Joj: Oh, sure. I'm Joj from Madhubani. I'm an old friend of Mr. R K Singh. I didn't know he was planning to move out and his phone is not working either.

Neighbour: Ok Joj. Mr. Singh was here until the day before yesterday. All of a sudden, a week ago, the owner of the house came back from America and had nowhere to live. So, he had to stay in a hotel for a week.

Joj: That's sad.

Neighbour: Anyway, knowing the plight of the owner, Mr. Singh started looking for another house. Luckily, he managed to find one and moved out immediately. The owner will be moving in today.

Joj: What about Mr. Singh? Do you know where he has moved to?

Neighbour: Oh yes. He has rented a flat in the Vishal Apartments nearby.

Joj: Ok. I know where it is. Thank you.
