PRACTICE PLEASE

Hey everyone. Today I'm not talking as a teacher. Today I'd like to talk like another student. Learning a language should be nice and enjoyable process. However, people want to learn it with out any effort, and that is kinda difficult.

When you're learnign a language you must dedicate to it at least fifteen minutes per day. and for me that is not that much. Before you go to sleep, read something in English, before having breakfast, learn a grammar rule. In your break at the school go a listen to a song or do anything, speak to your friends, write a poem or chat in English. you will see that you will improve.

One thing that I have to learn a practice are Idioms and phrasal verbs. They're like a pain on my back. So I pick up one a day and I try to use it in a real situation or I learn it by heart.

Please, share with me what do you do for practicing your English.

Hello everyone. Fernando. You have to take into account that when you speak English it is because you have listened to someone or something, so my first piece of advice is try to listen as much English as you can. Second, try to find friends, classmates or ever partners who are learning english an set goal together for practice speaking: go to have a beer and speak in English, go to visit one of your friends and speak in English, go to see a movie and comment it in English. There are so many things to do. So, in brief, listen a lot of English and look for someone to practice with.

hello Carlos. Thank you for this wonderful blog. I definitely agree with what you have written here. We do have to dedicate and a lot time in order to learn the English language. There's a saying "if there's a will, there's a way". So by being eager, it will be easy for us to achieve a goal. Don't forget to reward yourself for your good accomplishments and hardwork. I personally practise English here in Ec through writing but the only time I speak English is at school with pupils but it is with simple words cause they are beginners!!
