Once upon a time

This is a story about a kid who has to face the harshness of life so early in life. Her mother left her. She is now living with her addicted father. Her father made him to sell flowers on the streets. Whenever she sees a family, a mother with her kid hand in hand she dreams of having one.” Oh God if only I had parents who love me” she thinks then I would be the happiest child.

In winter when her hands are so cold she yearns for having a mother who can warm up her hands with kindness. She craves her father would hug her with so much love but alas they all live in her dreams and the harsh reality of life seems to smirk at her.  She asks why her life should be in this way.  Has she done anything wrong? She has no answer for all her questions. In her beautiful mind she dreams about her life in the future. She wants to be different from her parents. She says to herself” I will be a wonderful mom and I will make an amazing family”.

I know that her dreams will live on as long as she lives because it’s the only thing nobody could take it away from her.  I wish all her dreams come true.

We come across so many kids like her. So many organizations are held to help these kids, but still so much needs to be done. Sometimes I blame irresponsible adults who bring them in this world and leave them on their own. Sometimes I blame society or government that does not take care of them. Sometimes I blame my own self, but I know that blaming will not help.

When I talk about theses kinds of issues people would say this is life you can not save all. But I believe there must be a way to save all kids, to give them a chance to live a better life and I wonder what that way is and what my role…is.

  • We can not save all, but we can save one, at least we can help them.. everyone stop doing good by thinking that we can not save all, but think if everyone try to do their best for them, then we can make the change...:)
